Eric Jay Toll is a travel writer living in Phoenix, Ariz. Eric is an avid outdoorsman, and dragged his kids (sometimes kicking and screaming) on many camping trips. His stories focus on the experience of travel, expectations for the new visitor, and the excitement of discovery. He camps often, packs occasionally, and snuggles into lodges, inns, and hotels. Eric builds furniture, has an organic garden, makes killer sourdough French bread and is an accomplished chef. He has been writing for more than 40 years. Talon Windwalker is the single adoptive parent of a special needs child. “Eclectic” is his middle name: He currently works as a hospice chaplain and is a Zen monk, polyglot, cancer survivor ultra runner, snowshoer, endurance cyclist, certified endurance running coach, photographer, public speaker, consultant, writer, advocate, former trauma nurse, was educated as a naturopathic physician, and is a lover of travelling, languages, and cultures. He is currently planning an indefinite round-the-world trip with his young son beginning in May 2011, starting with Ecuador. After travelling for several months, they will settle down in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for about a year while they continue to explore Southeast Asia and other parts of the world and then will continue living in other countries. He will be earning an income as a digital nomad teaching languages as well as other online endeavors.
